SH Jazz fans are in for a double treat on Sunday the 9th of March at Bowral Bowling Club when Australia’s number one swing band is joined by the one and only Kate Wadey.

Drummer Andrew Dickeson's "Blue Rhythm Band" is beyond a doubt Australia’s most popular swing band. Featuring Brad Child on sax, Peter Locke on piano and Jacob Graham on bass - this is as good as it gets!

Drawing upon the wonderful tradition of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Jimmy Lunceford and others - this band is the “real deal” for swing music.

Vocalist Kate Wadey masterfully presents classic jazz repertoire with an other-worldly charm and warmth that belies her youth. She will take you on a musical journey that is playful yet sophisticated - exploring the power of storytelling through song.

The Bowlo's kitchen will be serving lunch from 12 noon, and you are very welcome to come early and eat in the main room before the show. Our doors will open at 1:00pm and the band will start at 2:00pm, playing through until 5:00pm. Lunch orders will continue until 2:30pm, with a snack menu and drinks (including tea and coffee) available through the remainder of the afternoon.
